Amazon’s Prime Day Is July 15th But The Domain May Sell Today
TUESDAY,7 JULY 2015 The Domains
According to the news from Domain Forum of China on July 7th,Amazon announced yesterday that its “Prime Day” sale using the hashtag #PrimeDay on July 15th in celebration of Amazon’s 20th birthday will “Bury Black Friday” by comparison.

We noticed that the domain name was not owned by Amazon.

It seems we weren’t the only one that noticed the domain name, was registered way back in 2005 and would most likely receive a lot of traffic and wasn’t owned by Amazon.

According to a posting on Facebook by a well-known Domain investor who reached out to the owner of, the domain name will be sold today on July 7th or on Wednesday July 8th for an amount at least in the $xx,xxx range

According to the Facebook post the owner of the domain name, said:

“I have received 8 strong offers in the last 4 days hours (they are all in the xx,xxx thousands).

Please submit your best offer.

There will no negotiations or back/forth.

I will be committing to 1 of the offers by tomorrow or Wednesday.””

That was over 6 hours ago.

Of course Amazon could have bought the domain name for likely pennies on the dollar before making the public announcement of “Prime Day” but despite spending almost $14 Million on applying for new domain name extensions (new gTLD’s) they didn’t apparently see the need to acquire the matching .com of what they are promising to exceed one of the biggest shopping days of the year in the United States.

If you’re wondering, is not owned by either is being forwarded to
